There is also a new SMV pose set at BBay by Digiport, I paid for this, I just wanted to say I'm a happy customer. I've used the the first two sets in zillions of renders I've posted here, I love 'em. Take a look if you've got the time. Set one is called th "Betty Paige" set, incidently. The poses should also work fine foe Supermodel Morph Vickie, too. Anyway, Set 3 has a lot couch poses, so you are going to need a sofa, I found this one at 3D Cafe, it is in 3DS, so you don't need Max. You will have to UV map it, though, if you want to put a texture on it, I just saved it as a OBJ and put a box map on it. In other SMV news, I'm going to try and combine all the various upgrades and updates in the base file that is sold, and add some extras, MAT poses, fix the hair to use the San Fran hair CR2 (as above, it does pose nicely, doesn't it - and this is a tough pose for hair). Don't let that keep you from buying her though, as before all upgrades will be available free, I only get your money one time!

Jim, I dont wish to seem petty about such obviously lovely work, but her back appears stiff as the proverbial board. Does Poser not allow one to curve it into something a bit more, well, enticing?

Jim Burton ( ) posted Tue, 02 October 2001 at 1:55 PM

I sorta thought the same thing, bit I wanted to show the pose as it came out of the box, but what she really needs is a pillow under her head-upper body area - only I don't have a pillow! (yet!)

Good work! but her right hand looks a little bit over twisted, and the way her left thigh looks in the connection to the body. (but this is something you could do with a little bit of post work). :) If I am correct, then the cloth is painted on the body texture. if I were you I would ad a shadow efect to the cloth lair. (maybe I am wrong, I am not that an expert.)

Thanks! The swimsuit is an actual conforming garment, part of the SMV Essentials II pack. I do fit them closer than most! Your right about the thigh, I got to work on the joint parameters a little more - I bring in SMV for trial fittings and run her through many of the Digiport poses like this, that is a good way to test 'em!

So, Jim. When is the SMV Essentials II Pack going to be available? (I've bugged Jim alot about this in jest, but I still want it!)

thgeisel ( ) posted Wed, 03 October 2001 at 1:25 AM

You should make it available as soon as possible!!Its beginning of the month and my creditcard isnt maxed out yet :-))

Jim Burton ( ) posted Wed, 03 October 2001 at 7:42 AM

Real-soon-now I keep saying, as it is about 75% finished. However, I'm also working on a SMV costume set, will be 2-3 really neat items and I'd really like to get that done for Halloween. One or the other will be out by the end of the month, though, and the other will follow shortly.

Hi, Nice image, though I think she needs to pay a little more attention next time she waxes the "bikini line" :) later jb

BBAY seems to be down.

Yep, I got to get that out, maybe tommorrow or Friday. I improved the tail bending on all of the mermaids and got all of the morphs to work on all of the tails, actually I did the SMV one first, but the DAZ pair somehow got in front of her and made it to the surface first.
