I received the notification but I guess I was one of the lucky ones as nothing was taken from my accounts, no fraudulent charges that could be found in my purchases. However, to be on the safe side, I called the Bank (BofA) to ask them to cancel the card and issue a new one, with a new number. The customer service representative was confused as he said that the Bank hadn't been notified of the breach, that he had never run across a site that notified the customers like this first before even the bank was notified of a potentially compromised card.
So, kudos, Renderosity for going the extra step to give us notification so we could proactively protect ourselves from potential fraud. I know it makes me more willing to purchase from here, knowing that our security is being taken seriously.
