As long as we're all talking about it anyway, why not list the problems you've found with the Forum or what you don't like about it. And Mods, before you consider moving the thread to the Community Forum where you probably think it should be, consider that until one of the mods mentioned it, I didn't even know there WAS a Community Forum that addressed issues  like this. You can't post it there if you didn't know it was there, and I'm willing to bet most people don't.

Why not make this thread a sticky, and start a similar sticky in other forums so people will see it and let you know their concerns. Moving it to the Community Forum is just hiding it where no one knows where it is.

You are right about the Community Forum, I had never been there and it was only following one the moved threads that I found out the issue with Credit Card information that was mentioned in that forum. As to moving the post, well I can sort of understand why but the issue was mainly people who were regular contributors to the Poser Forum that were leaving.  From that point of view there is an argument for leaving it in the Poser forum.

I have already listed many of the problems that impact my use of the forum so I won't go over the same ground, but my own view is it may be too late anyway.  Those that have left are unlikely to return, although I guess those who have moved to lurk mode might.  What seems to have been forgotten here is that a lot of the people who use the forum are fairly switched on people and they can tell the difference between a well though out, profession web site and one that is not.  The first attempts here with poor choice of colours and spaces littered everywhere did not imply that the designer was up to the task, which I suspect, is another reason why there is such a negative feeling about anything improving.  You can build a list of problems but words like silk, purses, sows and ears spring to mind.

If in some universe a much improved and usable forum does emerge you still then have the problem of how it is used.  While a few people are happy to continue to discuss the Poser/Daz and V4/Genesis at infinitum I suspect the majority of forum readers are bored stiff with the same old arguments that have been going for four years now.  I am not against the discussion of Genesis or anything that is new or will benefit those that use the concept but there were times here when there were half a dozen threads here were just clones of the same old argument and no threads that were of interest to me, end result I stopped coming because even lurk mode was a waste of time.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
