open This page on a 1920x1080 monitor, that is the current default for a monitor, right? (1600x900 for most laptops.)
What do you see?

The top 25% is UNUSED BLANK white grey.
The bottom 75% is UNUSED dark grey-brown.

Now what percentage is actually used?

And when it is used? It is used vertically.
