The mistake described in the previous post is most common for me and due to another mistake.

When uploading an image, there is a period of time when the server is recompressing it, for no reason.

During this time interval, you  have no visual cue that the image is coming. 

Due to being conditioned to edit in a tiny window in which new material is often off screen, you think that the image is there and you just can't see it because the editor doesn't scroll properly, and you're used to that.

Well so you start typing. Except the damn image arrives in the middle of your typing. As you continue to type, it may jump out of the way and you don't even realize that you now have half your paragraph before the image and half after. 

Further - as I type or use arrow keys to move the cursor, there is the possibiility (particularly when an image taller than the editor window is present) that the entire HTML page jumps as well. This is very disorienting. I often lose track of what I'm typing as the entire page moves by several inches. Given that the editor window is only two inches, that is extremely confusing.

So - compounding several problems 

Tiny editor window

Delayed image posting with no visual feedback.

Image further delayed by needless recompression.

Cursor routinely off-screen.

Spurious window + page jumping - (scrolling the editor window by typing or arror keys can also scroll spontanouesly scroll the entire HTML page). When this happens I get so disoriented that there is a very good chance I'm not going to notice I made a mistake with posting an image.
