AVX Versus Non-AVX Installer
AVX is a specialized set of CPU instructions that accelerates the processing of multiple operations in parallel. AVX is available on all modern processors (± less than 3 years old) and we use this instruction set in VUE 2015 to speed up rendering (if your hardware and your OS support it). VUE will automatically detect upon install if your system is compatible with the AVX technology, and in the event it is not, the install will stop and tell you to download and run the non-AVX installer instead.
