Subject: Decent vein image resource

Does anyone make/sell a good texture map for veins for V4?

I have Vascularity For Poser by Zev0 & draagonstorm, it's pretty good but doesn't work with Octane.  I can use the displacement maps, but for color (diffuse) the background kills it.  If I had veins mapped on a transparent background I could use that.

Vascularity from Zev0 works great, but I used the maps at 21% opacity on my MR's.  They are on a transparent layer in PS, if you turn that into a .png, you should be able to layer it in Octane.  Maybe.  I am just hazarding a guess here.

I re-downloaded to be sure - they are jpgs.  The thumbnails are PNG.  Where did you get them is PS format?

Edit - I see the Merchant Resource!!!

Aren't there vascularity maps here in the store for M4 & V4?

I think I purchased a set somewhere. I know it wasn't DAZ because everything is Genesis/DSON/DS now but check here in the store. If I recall they may not have had MAT files foe them which means you would have to layer them the hard way by hand in an image editor like PhotoShop, apply the re-layered maps to the figure like you want them and save them back to the library as newly texture .cr2. Or do the smart thing learning how to create MAT files of your own. I am not the sharpest nail in the bag for learning new stuff so needless to say I am not using the vascularity maps in Poser for either figure....what a freaking waste!.

ZevO's 2 sets ... 1. Poser runtime, easy apply 2.  A photoshop MR.  Both are sold here in the Marketplace.

Glad to hear!

I prefer to have that sort of thing, if I use them, in PS layers to add them how I want them to textures.  The more I can do on my own, the better.  I don't see it as a waste, I see it as another way to create something that is more mine than what's out there.

DarwinMishap: that is very well put, I am working on becoming a vendor ... but I'm making these characters for me "first" and that extra unique quality is always a plus.

I love your work on Trystan!  And Macabre?  She's good too. Silly person.

Now that I have them and used them a few days, I prefer the PSD files.  It's a little more work up front, but then the skin is complete for that character for future renders.  And as you stated more customizable too!
