Yeah, I'd say definitely. I use .10 for msr but probably many would say that's overkill. Also I have texture filtering disabled on my maps. Keep in mind that msr must be set at desired value in render settings and each concerned body part to be effected. If you set the value to .10 in render settings but leave at .20 in body part properties the value at render will default to the lesser quality setting (.20).
There used to be a script floating around here that allowed you to adjust msr globally without having to go into each body part properties and change one by one. I would track it down but as far as I know we can no longer make attachments here and all old attachments are broken, so...
