I can't really remember in detail
but I think MS5 will have auto updates only if you click yes on a pop up
that ask if ya want connected to the internet and think it says you will remain  anonymous.
it's just that one popup that pops up when ya first install MS5.

 

I don't know about this stuff but I would have thought uninstall would take all the folders ,maybe I'm wrong.
but I'm not the one to give advice about this stuff but I'm sure some here knows all this stuff.

anyways wouldn't a systems restore work ?
1 make a restore point.
2 then install new software.
instead of dealing with a messy uninstall just do a system restore :)
I think this would work.

 

Don't get me wrong I like Gimp just fine.
Gimp doesn't have layer tools like MS5 .
I wouldn't go past 3000x3000 pixels in Gimp.
I can go 6000x6000 pixels in MS5.
