Subject: Today's software update broke search again

With regard to programming the match for words, the length of the word is not important at all. And as can be seen by your store searches, they work fine - just fine.

I don't know if you're an apologist or what. There is no reason for the search to fail. Neither usability nor programming require it.

(Note - I am a programmer - it's what I do for a living.)

We usually discard noise words (such as the, and, etc.) except when they're quoted in a search - then you're expected to find them. Quoting doesn't help here.


Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
