It depends on how you set up your poser interface.

The main problem I find with HD monitors is the 1080 height which results in a lot of vertical scrolling. This monitor does nothing to address that.

It's aimed at the kind of user who views movies on a pc and having movies displayed in cinematic ratios with no black bars above and below will look amazing. 

I think the 27" monitors with 1440p vertical resolution are better for productivity.

If I had unlimited money it would actually be the big brother of the monitor you mention the 34UM which has both the ultra wide and more vertical resolution.

I would probably even get one of those instead of moving to 4K!
