Subject: Those dang mixed up normals

You're misunderstanding my problem. I'm not talking about vn values in the obj. I know poser doesn't use those.

Poser is using the winding order of the vertices. Counter clockwise, you're looking at the front. Clockwise you're looking at the back. This is the "right hand rule" where the curl of your fingers indicates winding order and the out-stretched thumb indicates the normal.

I'm looking for a tool which reverses the winding order on polygons that face the wrong way with respect to their immediate neighbors.


Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)
