I have DSON installed into PP2014 under Win 8.1, i3-4130 CPU@ 3.4 GHz, 8 GB RAM upgradeable to 16 GB.  I haven't had any problems with importing and manipulating Genesis 2 in Poser.  The two guidelines I follow are: run the Library as a separate panel as set in General Preferences and turn off subdivision immediately after importing.  I usually run EZSkin 2 to replace and prep the figure textures for IDL rendering.
