Maybe my tool metaphor isn't helping things here.

What I mean is why would you expect someone who uses Poser specifically to render out Illustration References to take on re-rigging a figure if the anatomy doesn't bend correctly. It would mean learning a whole wealth of information outside of the intended use of the App just to get something to work as advertised. The whole reason of buying an out of the box solution, render to render figure, is that the purchaser doesn't know how or isn't interested in learning how to rerigg something. Or doesn't feel the need to spend hours doing something that can be bought for a reasonable investment.

If I hire a car and it's got a flat tire I don't think 'wow here is an opportunity to expand my knowledge on automobile maintenance'. Again with the metaphors lol.

The reason you see different complaints re figures here and not other forums is again due to the different market and reason for purchase.

Well your description describes me very well.  I use Poser for illustration and the fun for me is creating the scene.  I would rather buy in content rather than have to spend months learning to rig a figure when I don't enjoy that aspect.  My car is the same, I have reached the age where rolling around underneath or crawling under the hood is not fun.  I would rather pay someone else to get dirty and cold and service my car, even though I know how to.   Don't get me wrong, I admire those that can rig and develop figures and I understand that, if you are in business, you need to keep learning often just to stand still.  For me though I do Poser for fun and I really don't see why I need to spend my fun time doing things I am not really interested in so I buy content in.

Come to think of it, it is a bit like my dog, I will happily take him for a walk and feed and care for him but if he gets ill I buy in the expertise and take him to the vet.  Dumb as he is I don't think he would like me to start improving my vet skills.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
