Y'know, I've been working on this one, but I knew there was no way I'd have it finished in time, since I have to model the main subject myself. I was hoping to recreate Larry Niven's "Ringworld". If you're into Sci-fi, you might know what that is. The problem was,I lost my copy of the book, and have ben trying to find info about it on the 'net for dimensiions of the thing, various technical points about the shadow planes, etc.... it seems fairly simple at first, but the thing has to have terrains and oceans and all that good stuff, and then it has to all be placed precisely on the inner surface of the ring.... I'll get it done soon, I s'pose. I'm really torn between Rich's and Paul's pictures, because they're both very very good, and quite different. But, I have to go with Axe 555 (Rich) on this one, so that's who I vote for. The texturing in Paul's picture is awesome, as is the design and the composition, but I like the atmosphere in Rich's, and it has more of that "somewhere else" feel to it, I think. And, I was thinking that this one ended on the 6th for some reason!! Thanks again Varian, I promise, I'll take care of getting the next one together, and all the URLS straight and all that..
