Thanks.  dentist somehow drained some of the puff and put me on antibiotics.

they said the infection (sepsis?) could reach my heart. doesn't sound like something i want to experience. 

That's what killed my wife's grandfather.  It may seem minor, until it really gets to you, it may seem harmless, it ain't.  Glad you finally went.
