I use a lot the MDD plugin with Marvellous Designer, it's a very nice way to make the bridge between two softwares.
The process is:
Make your animation in Carrara (nude character only) starting in T pose.
Export it as Lightwave MDD (Fenric's plugin)
-Now, you have an .obj (character) and a .mdd (Motion).
-Import the obj as avatar in MDD
-Import the mdd as animation
-Build your clothe(s), drape it on your character (avatar), make your simulation and record it.
-In Carrara, import the mdd file created in MD, you have now the clothe exactly draped and animated on your character (except at the first frame, but you can delete the keyframe).
Nota: the mdd file don't take in account the textures, he don't create a .mtl file.
Hope this help.
