Okay, thanks. I had to start with the Poser Cloth Room, since I've never used it before. After some fiddling and a couple of helpful tutorials on YouTube, I more or less see how it works. Its pretty touchy to the details of the animation, e.g. if a hand brushes slightly into the character body, the cloth starts bunching (even with "Ignore Hand Collisions" turned on). That may be a feature at times, like the character is scratching thru the clothes. I haven't gotten to Carrara yet, busy on other projects, but one way might be to just do the animation in Poser and composite in the video editor. I don't care for Poser for large scenes, but one character is OK.
