I think the only significant difference you're going to find in the lighting is the effect of GC, it really amps up the range of lights and darks. Shadows are more modulated. I use it in Carrara and it does take some getting used to. You don't need to use as much light. I'm not sure how your scenes are looking to you from your end but from here the Poser 10 image looks much better, and I'm looking through a phone.
