Some people have higher standards than others.

So as long as there is no native Poser alternative, kludges are the only way to use a figure made to professional standards in Poser.

Many thanks, Razor42.

I hadn't realized how easy it is to bring Vicky 7 into Poser.

The expression problem could be solved by exporting the bone-driven expressions as standard mesh morphs.

Dial an expression in Studio, then export the head as an obj.

Can get tiresome, but I did much worse to get to where I wanted.

I did this a long time ago when I transferred V4's expressions, which were actually erc-settings of a few basic morphs, over to my V3 hybrids.

(Converted V4's erc-face morphs into standard morphs, then transfered those into a self-made V4 clone I built based on the V3RR mesh)

This was all long before Studio 4 and PP-2014's automatic morph transfer scripts.

Genesis I & II can be made "native" Poser figures quite easily.

The instructions I posted a long time ago must still floating around in Rendo's archive.

Even autofit for clothing workes nicely in Poser.

A V6toV4 or V7toV4 clone that uses V4 rigging but V6/V7 mesh (and head and expressions) would also be a viable alternative to re-use the vast V4 wardrobe many people have amassed. The body would be limited to V4 body shapes, but V6/V7 face morphs, textures and expressions could still be used.

I could think that the advanced weightmaps I created for V4LOD 17k would also work with a V4 "body clone" based on the Genesis 1/2/3 mesh.

Depends what exactly DAZ allows these days in regards to re-distribution.

Lots of options for those of us willing to do a little more than, well, whatever those other folks do with Poser.

:-)
