You might also want to uninstall and hide KB2976978 as well as the one Tom mentioned, tho it might just be for Window 8 users. Pays to check just to be sure tho ;). It's not enough though just to hide the updates. I did that previously before there were more "updates" for the Windows 8.1.1 installation on my laptop and somehow there they magically were again (and there was that nagging adware Get Windows 10 icon again), so somehow Microshaft managed to install them again by changing them from an opltional update to an "important" update. Thanks a bunch Microshaft. Not. Check the update numbers before you install updates on versions before version 10 and uncheck them and rehide them.
