It's not that I don't sympathize with the need to be mobile-friendly, but other sites have managed to do that without breaking every functionality!

(And I have never heard of ANY site that felt it prudent to make a tutorial on how to navigate the site because of it)

I suspect the main problem here is that the people that run this site aren't artists themselves, and so they simply don't understand the needs of the artists..
