Spent today doing real life things, and finally got time to look and nothing has really changed so I'm Joining the exodus also but with 1,500+ images in my Gallery and no more Delete Gallery selection deleting one at a time isn't really an option guess I'll leave it for the time being. DevArt will be my New full time home I already have a sizable Gallery there, at least I can post Hi Res imagery there instead of the Post Card size crap I would have to post here, Adios.............
Remember...No matter where you go there you are
I apologize again creativeguy59 and we will touch base for sure on Monday if you are still interested.
Lenord, we can delete your Gallery if you'd like. You just need to send an email to admin@renderosity.com
We really hate to see either one of you go as I stated before, we are compiling everyone's suggestions and are doing the very best we can to make any corrections and or changes necessary as thoroughly and quickly as possible.
We deeply apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate all of your support, patience, and understanding.
Sincerely,
Kristi

As I said Kristi I'm more than willing to talk to you on Monday. I am just pulling back my time and pretty much ceasing my purchasing beyond real things that have a project tied to pay for them. I was a bit more of an impulse and high volume buyer here as I really luv a lotta the vendors here. I see the potential in a lot of products. Until I see how things really pan out. My hot issues aren't with the gallery stuff though making it better would perhaps entice me to put effort here as I won't need to downgrade my images. Most of my gallery stuff is at DeviantArt anyways. In any event I have cut back / reduced/ pulled out what was once a rabid attention to this site for a few years. I would check the market with glee 5-10 times or more a day. I would read the forums if not post a few times a day. I would be in chat which is missing in action almost all day. That isn't happening right now I don't have the heart for it for the moment.... we'll see how things pan out and if things alter or are addressed... but actions speak a lot more than words ... and that is pretty much what I want to see how thing shake out (or not).
So in short sure we can meet Monday.
I too have joined the Exodus. There is not much left that I will miss. From the long list of "must by from" artist only one remains.
Fabiana is the only one who can still entice me to make a purchase.
I just got my refund for my Prime membership. The biggest failure yet. It came so fast that I had no chance to say goodbye to
the members I came to appreciate.
I too have found some other great hobbies. I am still sad that I have to leave but I cannot live with what Renderosity has become.
helgas sorry to see you go, wish you would have waited a week to give things time to shake out. Creativeguy59, talk with Kristi and see what's going on. I hold little hope that Prime will be settled, especially after the monthly freebie fiasco, but maybe someone will listen. Who knows? I'm voting with my wallet that's all I can do at this point.
I've been here since before there was even a store thought about, when it was just an exchange of freebies back and forth between users, before there was a Daz, an RDNA, 3dCommune. Been around a very long time. I'm not ready to give up on the site, not yet, I am going to see what magic Kristi and Jenn and JenC can come up with. The site will be fixed, whether rolled back, patched up or whatever. As for the other problem, we'll see how that shakes out as well, if it doesn't all it will do is save me money, at least here :)
No worries. I am down to 10% or less of the time I spent here and honestly it has been nice. But not entirely gone as I said there are some things I will need. I plan on talking to Kristi but honestly. I sort of low confidence at this point in things. Sure seeing stuff going on but a little late for me I think. We shall see the door is open but right now not wowed, and wasn't really interested in waiting a week for things to drag out continually... shouldn't take this long to fix a site to be honest. I got experience in that and the things are more back pedaling on stuff ... than anything. In any event yep I'll talk always willing to talk and Kristi is rather nice with my interactions with her. Doesn't reflect my view of much of the other staff here though.... and the general way things were handled.
@4222984
Totally understand. Speaking of annoying things, this @ whatever message we are responding to is pretty annoying as opposed to just being able to quote without copying and pasting. Along with the inability to either edit or delete a post of your own needs to be fixed as well.
Kristi, is da bomb. If she can set something right she will, so will the other two Jen's if they can. I think we all have said from the beginning it was more how it was handled then what happened, being treated with respect and feeling heard goes a long way. Sure we have uproars every time a site is changed, but the site change was not the only thing that happened, there were also changes in a paying membership program without any warning at all. So while some may think that it will all go away, it will calm down as people opt to talk with their pocket books or just leave and spend elsewhere altogether. Whether or not it matters to Renderosity management in the end we will see or they may decide that they can take the hit and go on. But the members do have valid points and they should be looked at seriously.
Yeah not sure I've used a more unfriendly forum software in my history of the net. Weird stuff. Yep we'll see I have already talked with my wallet and I don't spend insignificantly at that. Thanks for the talk though much appreciated.
I see you've joined up at FA, creativeguy59 - it's always fun - especially when this place frustrates you. You can always find something to make you laugh!
It truly breaks my heart to see what has happened here. Rendo has been my on-line home for over 6 years, and it hurts to see this, and the mass exodus it's caused. I was on the verge of completely pulling up stakes myself, but since they have wisely returned to the 4K image size, I'll hang around a bit to see what happens. In the past 6 years, I can count on one hand the number of months that I've not qualified for Render Rewards. My spending here is in a holding pattern, but I think I'm going to spread the love around a bit more, and see what's up at DAZ, RDNA, YUR, CP, etc. I've been a Prime member since its inception. However this falls out, I doubt I'll renew the Prime membership. We'll see... Since they've raised the price for Prime products, it's certainly not as appealing as it used to be.
I've been told that they're working on all the issues, so I'll just sit back for now and see what happens. In the meantime, I'll post more over at FA. See you there!

No, the site won't be fixed, or rolled back (when has that ever happened?), and the patching will only barely restore lost functionality/usability.
As usual, TPTB are going to continue going full steam ahead, damn the torpedoes, and claim that everything's fine. It probably wouldn't be much work to find an admin post containing the phrase "try it, we're sure you'll grow to love it" or something almost exactly like that, posted after this site change.
Whoever is responsible for this site layout needs to be drug out into the street and shot, and their corpse used as an example for their replacement not to fuck things up this badly again.

Well. I've been watching the update and the following days closely. I am always interested in improving things to a certain degree but I actually can't really see an improvement at all. Maybe there are advantages in managing the site now or some other improvements on the 'other side of the fence'. I don't know.
But I do know that the new marketplace is not very user friendly and it isn't really fun to browse to it.
And everyone I have been talking about it (friends that are users, buyers and even vendors) told me the same.
In the same time, I'm reading here that one user after the other are deleting their gallery and go somewhere else.
I just started being a vendor here myself but to be honest, I am very confused about where this is all leading to. So much, that I actually think about if should continue selling here.
At the same time I see that the admins here are working very hard on improving the site and fixing things.
I just really really hope, that this place can be fun again. (without the need for a tutorial on how to navigate the site)

I'm glad people really are leaving this time. Every time this site has suffered one of these catastrophic "new and exciting upgrade!!!" disasters there have been lots of people threatening to leave, but few actually do. The pattern has been the same for years: Big ugly makeover, community uproar, admins do the "be patient, we're still ironing out the little wrinkles" routine with hugzzz and smileyfaces, and management just hunkers down and waits for it all to blow over. And it does - eventually the complaining stops when people realize nothing will ever improve, and eventually one forgets that everything used to be better. But it occurred to me that perhaps some of the ongoing squabbling in the Poser forum might be due to a growing level of general frustration and discomfort in this shitty site environment, like kids in a hot car.
If we don't learn from history we are doomed to repeat it, I finally got tired of repeating this particular history lesson. I shut my store and deleted my gallery, this was a home for 12 years but I'll find another. I'll find a car parked in the shade with the windows open.
If management appear to be attempting to un-break a few things, perhaps it's only because enough people really did leave this time. But for me it's too little, way too late.
PS: I had to type this twice because when I came to post it I was taken to the LOGIN page (even though I couldn't have typed anything in a community forum thread if I wasn't already logged in. Duh!) This is the sort of crap that adds up and adds up and eventually makes this place intolerable.

No, the problem in the Poser forums is because Rendo has become popular throughout the intarwebz for Daz-Poser troll wars. Thus, people who want to denigrate the users of the other program will be attracted to the Rendo Poser forum.
Also, this update is exponentially more devastating than the previous ones. The last update involved a nerfed search and wishlist, the typical screen resolution problems, text eyesores, and a damned carousel that made the bundles unusable from then on.
This time, however.... the idiotic decisions on the gallery, the scrolling vendor list, the disappearance of sales announcements on the homepage... These are all fatal mistakes.

So it's been fun and interesting in the forums of late with the site lackings. I had a meeting with an admin unfortunately she got tied up in a meeting so we have to re-schedule until Monday. That is life.
However, I am pulling out for the most part from Renderosity as I really do not see that things are going to get any better. I will be on site to a degree to purchase as necessary but I'm done with the forums for the most part. Done with the level of purchasing I made. Maybe they can convince me in the coming months. At the moment I got a full time job, a family, and a business that I run. I also seem to have some potential web site building to be working on as well. Tis all cool. I got better things to do with my time in the end this has been more of a time sink than I expected.
I honestly don't expect folks to care but I did meet and talk to quite a few interesting people the last few days :) I like to be proven wrong though so have a go at it. I just don't energy to deal with anymore :) I'll check stuff here but I already not even looking at the market much and the savings I Had alone this month may make my ZBrush purchase much sooner.... and Octane... and other stuff than I expected :)
Take care... and thanks for the folks that I met here twas fun.
