well, after the 'revolution', i took the time to re-create thumbs that were all 300x200 for every single one of my images and uploaded them all. everything looked as i wanted it to until a few days ago. now i have some images showing the thumbs i made and others are showing scaled down versions of my images instead of the thumbs i uploaded. i have absolutely no idea where my thumbnails disappeared to and have asked. i've yet to receive an answer. i am curious if i need to upload once again the thumbs i made & that have gone missing or if it is entirely pointless to bother because there is something in the coding that is determining the outcome. and i can't figure out what the pattern might be either, as some of the thumbs i created for non-nudity images are still in place. the only possible answer i can think of, and it is a whole leaping guess on my part, is that the code is saying to my gallery page "fluff out and fill if there is space", but that doesn't see quite right either. plus, there have been thumbnails that will show at some point, but then in looking again, i get the full compressed viewed of the image itself.

could someone please take a moment and explain what's happening, or if i do indeed, for whatever reason, need to make thumbnails yet again?
