I edited the post. I had IDL on and if you make the floor invisible it won't be in the render. 
I'm just trying to help but had I seen your post before mine, I wouldn't said anything cause you 'da man! I'd just render the one object with a black background and export it as a png, open in my image editor & do the rest by hand.
