Well I've got the same result on Roxie and Rex but not on Dawn, or V4.

However on Dawn and V4 when I flip the skinning type over to unimesh rather then traditional, the new zone vanishes. At a guess it picks up only material zones in the obj at that point. So ..... it may be one of those things that can't be changed.
