If you want to use dynamic cloth, it is actually an animation. Start at frame 1 with the clothing and figure in the zeroed out pose, then you can pose the figure at any frame after that. I usually shoot for the final pose at frame 15, and then base the end on what I am doing with the cloth. If I want the cloth to continue to drape, I may have the simulation end at frame 45, especially if I am running a sim on a cape. But clothing like the render above can be done within the default 30 frames. There are a lot of settings you can mess with in the cloth room. You just have to dive in try it out. It's not as daunting as some would have you believe. If I can do it, anyone can.
