Totally agree moo, I am using the preview mode.

I think the last time I tried a FF render it was 9 mins. per frame, on a I7 6 core machine with gobs of memory and SSD drive. In this little video I use volumetric smoke and that doesn't speed things up. I suppose I could play with the pixel count and render passes, but we're still talking about a long time. I'll give it a try just to learn and see if it looks all that much better.
