To import an Obj, look under File>Import>Wavefront Obj. Now as far as the Obj sequence, I'd think the entire thing would import but am not sure as I don't have Maya. The other thing to try might be to see if you can import the Obj, and if it didn't import the animated sequence, see if Maya can export it as something like BHV .
