Funny enough, my first exposure to "original" anthro' designs (as opposed to fan art of entertainment properties) were drawings by Eric Schwartz (as well as those by Terrie Smith and Ken "Coug'r" Sample) someone showed me when I attended an Atlanta based convention (not a "furry" con, just a general SF convention) in the early 90s.
