From the hierarchy window, you can turn your collection of parts into a character. This is more versatile than a prop. But once you have the item as a character, you can re-save it as a prop.

To create the character, select the base item... the prime part of the parts.... everything else should be a child of this part.
Make sure all the children are also selected and turned ON.

Click Create New Figure. you will be prompted to Name it. This item will appear in the New Figures folder of your Poser (not external) runtime.

Navigate to New Figures, Double click your character to load it.
Give it a nice name (not Figure 1) and make any corrections you want.

Assuming every thing is right, Select it and Choose Edit > Memorize > Figure.

NOW you can choose the runtime and folder you want it to live in. This second save Also pulls out the Geometry for you, so you don't have to use any 3rd party tools!

Load the new Figure

Select it

Choose Edit Memorize Object.

Go to the Prop page of the library, and choose the appropriate folder.

Click the Plus sign on the lower left.

Look at every option . Poser Defaults to unchecking everything, which gives you an empty Prop.

Good luck!
