If I am not mistaken, you can set when you accept updates. On shut down ... or set it up for your own convenience. MS needn't have "controlled" your machine, but since it all worked out for you, I am pleased and we do appreciate you sharing this with us. Some folks do have conflicting feelings about MS and Windows. We needn't air those issues here even if we understand them. Thank you.
