Adding a new folder as a content directory, provided it isn't inside an existing content directory, will work for most things (not morph expansions for fourth generation Daz figures, such as Victoria 4, or other figures that use the ExP system) but can, in the long run, generate an unwieldy list. Ultimately, whether in a new content directory or an old, you need to have the Runtime, Data, and any sibling folders (Props, People etc. from the same level of the zip) in your content directory, where they will merge with any existing folders if it isn't a new directory.
