Poser is used in the "CGI" universe more that you think and many "professional artist" admit i , because it is frowned upon to do so, a ridiculous thing, because a good artist professional or not, use all the tools in his hands to make art. It is clear that poser is not a primary creation tool, but it is a great tool get things "cheap" and easy.

Actually, from what I've heard, both Poser AND Studio are frowned upon by "professional" artists. But I have seen Poser used in television shows, magazines, books, movies, etc.
