Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 1:45 am)
There's a recent thread on here about dealing with pz3s without recourse to Poser. May be of use.
You can open them in a text editor and chop out the bits you want to get rid of but it's going to be a long tedious job on such a big file, assuming it will even open in the editor of your choice.
Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.

Sorted. A reboot of the Mac an I got the PZ3 to load. Removed some items and saved it as part one then undid the deletes, removed different items and saved it as part 2. Photoshop did the rest.
I used to do this often when Poser 7 choked on a large file.

Oh bottom! I knew I'd done something daft as soon as I closed Poser down. I usually save my scenes at various times to make sure I've always got a backup but this time I was in a hurry to go out so I closed the one I was working on. Trouble is its over 700MB and Poser crashes when I try to open the scene back up. I'm on a MAC using Poser 10 so its 32 bit. I thought about a PZ3 editor to see if I could take some of the props out but I can only find PhilC's and thats only for Windows. Any ideas? Start again? Wave the chicken bones at it?
