LOL, that's where the "hopefully" comes in. I have a techie friend who can recover almost anything and has.
I use to worry about losing all my things too, that's why it would be much better if you could save everything to a CD disc. I have CD discs from 1996 that still work like new today. But anything electronic? No. After awhile machines will die and stop working. But CDs will last forever so long as you keep them in their CD cases. I don't know anyone who has a Nintendo from the 1980s that still runs like new today. It's highly unlikely that it does. Same goes for anything else electronic related.
