With Bullet physics, you can do the animation of a projectile. Here is the basic method using a simple ball as the projectile.
A projectile has two components: the gravity component acting downward with an increasing velocity and a constant velocity component having a direction and an intensity. The association of these two components gives the parabolic curve typical of a projectile
So, in Poser bullet physic, you first select the objects, the ground as the choregraphed object and the ball as the rigid dynamic object
For the properties of objects: you check the "Active" option for the ground and the "Active" and " Apply velocity at start frame" for the ball.
For the simulation, define the range of frames from 2 to 30. Note, the simulation will start at frame 2.
Now, move the ball up (yTran) to one Poser unit and xTran to 0.
Here is the main step. Be sure that the frame number is one. Next go the frame 2 and after, move the ball in the horizontal direction with the xTran dial by 0.150 Poser unit. What we do is to define the direction and intensity of the constant velocity component. If you set the xTran to 0.200, the projectile will go farther and if you add a yTran effect, the projective will go up before going down (Try xTran at 0.150 and yTran to 1.05 at frame 2)
Go the Setting and verify that the gravity option is negative (The default value is -10 in my Poser version).
Finally, apply the "Calculate Simulation". The projectile will follow a parabolic curve if you start the animation.
