The series doesn't matter overmuch. I guess I'm more fond of the original with Shatner and Nimoy though. I'm most concerned with high quality models. That said, I guess I'd take a shellacking from fans if the uniforms didn't match ship version or I used the improper phaser design. I guess some research will be in order.
