Is there a way to speed up DSON, it takes 5 min at least to load Genesis 3 Female? And I think I'm missing something in the tutorials, I keep getting an error when using Genesis 3 poser updater on the poser saved figure
DSON Importer creates a CR2 on load. The more morphs you have, the longer it takes. I have not been able to speed it up.
The way to speed it up is restructuring the data folder.
DS builds the figure from scratch EVERY SINGLE TIME you load it. It will also load every morph it has visibility on. So limit what it can see. The way I do it is by building separate runtimes for my figures - only load what you need. As an example my g2f runtimes are broken out as follows:
Base - everything I want in all characters (Base Morphs, - I also keep hair, poses and such here - they don't interfer with generating a character). If there is a particular character morph I want available for all characters, I'll also move it from it's original location to here. Example: I have a couple of Nail morphs I want available for any figure, I dump them here. G2F Characters - all of my characters that do not use a specialty sculpt (Victoria, Aiko, Lillith, etc) Each G2 Sculpt - each of these (Aiko 6, Victoria 6, Olympia 6, etc) are separate runtimes - If I know I'm not going to need any Lillith morphs, I don't load that runtime.
A more extreme version of this is deciding what morphs you are going to use and pop those in and out of your data/DAZ 3D/Genesis #/
