Thanks, Misty, for the expanded videos and for so many of them! It was really good to look at the whole process again... and the last two were particularly helpful with converting clothes and hair in DS. Easy peasy!
One thing I do differently from you is that... as your base figures have no textures, I do not append them to my Carraractor until he or she is open and morphed in Carrara. Then I choose the compatible UV texture from Runtime/Texture. Often there are other options from perhaps a texture purchased here or from elsewhere. Or create my own skins and eyes.
I often create Normals with CrazyBump for my Carrara bumps and don't bother with displacement, etc. Once my skins/eyes shaders are customised in PS, applied in the shading tree, they are then saved to the Carrara Shaders library under a new folder called CARRACTORS, with each G3 character having a unique name and I also rename the textures as well so if I have more than one figure in the scene, they do not share shader names. Been there, done that mistake many times in the past. Nightmare!
Hope to make some renders soon... trying to get family off on their Easter holiday breaks... next week all is quiet here!
Thank you again for a job well done and for keeping up with all the questions and comments! Have a good Easter! Silene
