To me the whole sales process at Renderosity is a bit broken. The site seems designed for phones, yet the product is high end 3D, something not generally used on phones. Prime and Clearance items do not get changed with big vendor sales and often stay at 30% or 35% off when the vendor is 50% or more. Then clearance items go away easily. I would think that one of the advantages of a digital store is that you don't really have to get rid of inventory. It's not like you're saving that much space; If someone bought it it's still going to be archived in the system.
When OOT had items on sale for 65% off recently, the 'clearance' items stuck out like a sore thumb and were priced at twice as much.
I've not tied myself to Daz yet, since I'm already tied to Smith Micro's Poser. So if Rendo gets rid of all their quality V4 stuff I won't have reason to come back here. Same to the non-Daz stuff; If it all becomes DS-4 or higher it's not compatible. I'd suggest holding the clearance stuff if not permanently perhaps for a year or two (or three) not 60 days.
****Also NOTE: ****One of the big items that I buy later on in the life of a character are the clothes and hair color and texture add-ons. The importance of these items to me is inversely proportional to how new the item is to my account. That is, the farther in time since it has been since I bought the original item, the more interested I become in add-ons for it.
