Subject: Poser 11 Pro serial does not work

drifterlee ( ) posted Fri, 14 July 2017 at 2:11 PM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 11:00 PM

Hi: I had to reformat my hard drive (Windows 10 64bit home) and reinstall everything. Poser Pro 11 says the serial that is on the install disk is wrong. I have checked it over and over. Does not make any sense to me. Anyone else have this problem? It is an upgrade and the old Poser 4 serial is correct also. Thanks, Sherrie

Here is my suggestion. IF you have a physical copy of PP11, Photocopy the document with the serial number on it. IF it's a download show the digital documentation with the sercial number. Attach this information to an incident report to SM. The procedure should be with your readme files or your manual. Let us know how this goes. Give them a little time as they've just had a change in staff recently.

I don’t think you can upgrade from Poser 4 to 11. Depending on which version of the upgrade you purchased, you need to have from Poser 6 or Poser Pro 2010 installed for it to work.

Another thought is if the upgrade was from standard to pro the license checker might be looking for a valid standard version licence.

If you have an Upgrade Product, you need to use the Key used to purchase at the Upgrade Price.

Wow, haven't seen that avatar in years, John. Didn't it use to wave?

Yes... it use to wave... I think the support for Animated GIFs is gone.
