Well, good advice, I've learned my lesson on this one.
But all is not bad. Somehow, the problem fixed itself for the most part.
In Poser 9, I had a directory/folder for scenes, among the other folders for the program. Those scenes are still accessible with Poser 9. (However, when I open that folder in Explorer, it shows the folder empty).
Poser 11 can't see them at all.
So they are not lost or corrupted, but I can't figure out why P11 can't see them, or neither can the OS. They open normally in Poser9.
Another thing is, when I open Poser 11, I get the Permissions box where I tell it I'm the admin and giving it permission to "modify this computer". I downloaded the updated program and installed it--so the disc version I had is gone off the PC. Not to mention all the confusion and hoops I had to jump thru to get the thing registered.
anyway, I've spent far too much time on this and bothered you folks with it, by straying off topic. I appreciate the help though! And thanks hornet3D!
I'm thinking it may be time to dump Poser entirely. I bought 11, because they sold me on the "Superfly" renderer. I wanted more realistic renders. I've tried Superfly with a couple of the wretched stock Poser figures. I'm not impressed, but maybe I just need to read my manual yet. I mean, at minimum, V4 was a big improvement over Poser figures. It's just that when DAZ came up with Genesis, getting it into Poser became, for me, rocket science.
I don't think one can get the Daz Genesis into Poser any more--I'm out of the loop on that one. And from what I've read and seen, their renderer is pretty impressive. I just wasn't into investing a ton more time in learning a new interface and buying a slew of new add ons, etc.. Anyway, Blender looks interesting as well...
All for now.
