If you could show us a screen shot of your Mat room settings for each we will probably be able to solve the mystery. ๐Ÿ˜„

Have you tried detaching the HairBsdf node from the transparency parameter?

The FF hair node doesn't work in SF. And the SF hairbsdf shouldn't go into the transparency color. Try this shader for your SF, changing the colors to match what you want. And a traditional hair shader for FF.

Redphantom is a master in the shader nodes. It does get a little tricky when figuring the ff and sf nodes. Might I suggest some tutorials both here and at SM on the node structure. Once you understand it you will be building great shaders on your own.

It would be useful to have a FF to SF shader converter. This should be possible by having shader presets like "skin", "metal", "rocks", liquids or "glass" ect. So it should work like the Reality plug-in converts Poser shaders for the Lux renderer, this converter converts to Superfly. Somebody should make a script.

If you have Snarly's EZskin3, Bopperthijs created a plug in that not only enhances skin, but other materials too all to work with cycles.

PLUG-IN

Documentation

This is the best so far. I hope this helps.
