and the cheek of a certain mod on that forum saying they did not want to settle for a lesser featured figure than in Rass Spudio!! or Poser for that matter, HickDeads

Or, to add to your speculation, maybe it's just that either they weren't smart enough to figure it out, or that they didn't care (weren't able to care??) to even try, because those in charge have decided Carrara is not worth their time ($$$$), and there will be no further investments in doing anything related to Carrara.
