In the Writing Contest you will notice they have included the Blackwing-Slate Journal with Pencil. I am so tickled that they included that as a prize. You might say, 'huh, a pencil?". Well, I'm sure not everyone will know the history of the Blackwing pencil. The Blackwing pencil has a history similar to Fabriano Paper, or Moleskin Notebooks. Just to name a few fun things, Donald Duck was drawn with a Blackwing pencil. I've always enjoyed using creative tools that have a long history of use by famous artists of the past, and present.
