I believe this is more an issue of overloading your graphics memory with a heavy scene. I have had my computer shut down completely over the same issue. The best way to avoid that is to make sure you have saved your scene after some heavy work ... close PP11 and reopen it ... and continue. If this continues please make a bug report.
