Right, that's the way it should be.... Are you using different percentages of the colors? gradients? When a color is a 100% it can look totally different at 70 or 60, because some of the other shades it's made of can become more dominant. In your case it would be the reds... I'm not sure if that's the problem, but it's a big possibility.
