Yes, thank you for your input, and you are right. Let me also review myself. When I put all the files together and looked at what the size came to, I almost snorted my coffee. I have a checklist of things I'm going to do differently for my next piece from what I've learned by all this. It's the textures. Or rather, its the way I set them up. I modeled the item trying to squeeze as much texel density out of the uv maps as possible, for each little element, even where it would have made more sense to use a simple shader. For example I have some of the hardware, nuts bolts washers etc. which can only be seen in extreme close-ups textured on separate maps. In hindsight, I doubt anyone is going to zoom a centimeter away from the rubber grommet and inspect the roughness of it, haha.

So, I definitely need a break from this particular project for the time being, but I should like to revamp it at some point in the near future to be more resource efficient.
