Yes, you can save the morph independently without body transformation. Under the pose category, proceed to save the pose as a full body figure and in the second panel, select morph channels only for the final save. That way you can apply the morph changes only while your figure is in a different pose.

That'll still save body part poses tho'. To write poses for ONLY the morphs, not body or body parts, you could try the PoseWriter Panel in Scripts-Partners-Netherworks (there's a help file there too), select the parts you want to save morphs on, and uncheck everything except Morphs at the bottom of the panel.

Note that this only really saves the dial settings, so your character will have to have the morphs you want loaded (possibly using the injection method hborre goes on to explain) before you apply the pose.
